Sudden Death
The main event. Nail the target round after round to build your score. One big miss and the run is over.
Play the stop-the-timer challenge as a real iPhone game. Read the target, tap GO, then stop the hidden clock by feel and see how close you landed.
Free on the App Store, no account needed. Optional ads support the game, with a one-time Remove Ads purchase.

That is the hook. The target is clear, but on Medium and Hard the counter hides before the stop. You count it out, trust the beat in your head, then find out whether you were early, late, great, or perfectly on target.
Each round gives you a target time to hit.
The timer can hide, so the round becomes a real timing challenge.
Stop reveals your miss, awards points, and sends you chasing the next run.
Use it like the stopwatch challenge you see in short videos, or play it as a real score chase. Same one-tap mechanic, three ways to play.

Climb from one second to ten, one round at a time. You play all ten, and the lowest total miss wins.
No score, no pressure. Choose what's hidden, set a target or run a plain stopwatch, and practice however you like.
The regular Stopwatch app can count up. Stop the Timer gives you a target, hides the clock, scores the stop, and remembers your best runs. A timing game only matters if you trust the result, so each tap is read from the exact instant your finger lands.

Stop the Timer: Stopwatch Game is a precision-tap game for iPhone built around the stop-the-timer challenge. Tap GO, watch the target, then tap STOP as close as you can. On harder settings the timer hides, so it comes down to rhythm, feel, and nerve.
Yes. It is the same simple idea people play in short videos: try to stop the clock exactly on a target time. Stop the Timer turns that social stopwatch challenge into a polished iPhone game with hidden-timer difficulty, score runs, stats, and quick replayable rounds.
The built-in stopwatch shows the timer the whole time. Stop the Timer can hide the clock, reveal how early or late you were, grade the stop, track your best runs, and turn each attempt into an actual game.
Yes. Stop the Timer is free to download and free to play, with no account needed. Optional ads support the game, and a one-time Remove Ads purchase turns them off if you'd rather play without them.
Yes. Gameplay itself runs entirely on your iPhone, so rounds, timing, and scoring all work without a connection. The app does check in with our server at launch for ad settings, and ads themselves need a connection to load, so a fully offline session may not show ads.
Sudden Death is the score chase: nail the target round after round, and one big miss ends the run. Ladder is a ten-round climb with targets from one to ten seconds, where the lowest total miss wins. Free Play is your sandbox: tweak the timer visibility and reveal style and practice however you like.
Difficulty controls how much of the clock you see. Easy keeps the timer visible the whole time, Medium lets you peek before it hides, and Hard hides it completely so every stop is pure feel. The rules never change; only how much you can see.
There's no account and no personal profile. Your scores, stats, achievements, and settings live only on your iPhone. The app uses anonymous usage analytics to see how the game gets played, and shows optional ads through Google AdMob (non-personalized if you decline tracking permission). See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
One tap to start, one tap to stop. Stop the Timer is a free precision timing game for iPhone, no account needed, just you and the clock.
